Today I've already missed two of my three classes. THere's a huge greve today so the buses/trains/etc have been heavily affected. I anticipated this, but failed to get up early enough to sit and wait at the bus stop earlier than usual. I was pooped this morning and knew I could make up some lame excuse and get away with missing a class or two. Pretty awful, huh?

The head of the English department asked if I'd mind taking on a couple more classes each week because some of the classes (who perhaps don't see an English assistant at all) are having difficulties. My contract says I'm only required to work only 12 hours/week, but I figure taking on the extra classes would benefit me in the long run. I've become way too lazy here and can be rather nonchalant about my job at times. Being busier will force me to move around more (and burn off those French sweets). And as long as these new classes don't require a lot of extra lesson planning on my part, I'm cool with it.
