It's snooooooowing here in Vence!! :D I don't have a camera, but I went out into the snow/rain. There are little baby snowflakes, but most are melting once they find a place to land. Also, there's sludge and ice on the ground, which means my feet will be soaked by the time I make it to the bus stop. Oh well. But happily some of the snow has stuck! It's supposed to snow in Vence tomorrow, too, however I'll be home in Nice and probably won't see anything but rain....

Hi Ashley!

I saw your post on Tumblr (via Capucha). My friend and I are seriously considering applying for the assistantship program in France. I looked at the application yesterday and I panicked. I understood about half of it. I took three years of French in high school but I'm completely fluent in Spanish. Will that be enough? We're aware that being assigned to Paris is unlikely. Where do you teach? If you have any tips or advice for us, we'd appreciate it!

We're scrambling to meet the deadline on the 15th.

Merci mille fois!

Almost forgot... did you fill out your application in French? In the very little that I deciphered in the instructions, I couldn't tell if that was specified!
