Dear Diary,
So it's been about two weeks since I last wrote, and as one would assume, a lot has happened. I've worked at Lycee Henri Matisse for two weeks (six days to be more specific). Most of the students are pretty nice. There are of course a few crazy kids/profs. Paule (my contact) is the only prof that has given me any problems really. She's just all over the place. And when she tries to explain what sort of lesson she wants me to do with her students, it's so hard to understand. I think she's just giving them busy work for the most part. Elle est folle.
Other than my problems with her, it's been pretty great. I did my first lesson on the U.S. presidential elections. I gave students a ton of info about Obama/McCain and their stances on controversial issues (war in Iraq, abortion, legalization of marijuana). They seemed really interested in all of it, and that made me happy to see them excited about learning. Starting today, I'm on vacation. We have a week and a half off for Toussaint (All Saints Day). Sweet, huh? I calculated it out, and during my stay here in France, I will go into work only 64 days and will have a total of 60 days of vacation (not counting my 3 day weekends). ;) Oh yeah... Going for now, but will write again soon!
